Kaysy Ostrom is an actor, teaching artist, playwright, singer-songwriter, and arts administrator from Seattle, Washington. She is a graduate of Southern Methodist University where she received a BFA in Theatre Studies with an emphasis in acting, playwriting and directing. Kaysy has acted with many theatres, including Storybook Theatre, SecondStory Repertory Theatre, Copious Love Productions, and PRISM Movement Company. She is an award winning playwright, winner of SMU’s 2015 Rosenfield Award for Excellence in Playwriting and the 2015 Audience Choice Award for Best Play at the 8 in 48 Festival for Young Audiences in Meridian, Idaho. She also pens original songs that you can find on YouTube under the username kaysyconundrum. Her most popular song has over 65,000 views. Kaysy is a proud graduate of Seattle Children Theatre’s TAT Lab: a professional training lab for Washington State teaching artists. She is the Education Associate at Studio East and is a teaching artist at Studio East, Youth Theatre Northwest, A Contemporary Theatre, and Seattle Theatre Group.

Kaysy is currently playing Greedo and Red Leader in A New Hope in the Park. This event is TOTALLY FREE so you should totally come. Every Saturday and Sunday in August at 7pm in Blanche Lavizzo Park!
Kaysy is directing Fantastic Mr. Fox at Youth Theatre Northwest, opening in December!
Kaysy will be in the premiere of Syd the Solstice Kid, a new children’s holiday show by Storybook Theatre.
